One of the best parts about being a photographer on the beach is, well THE BEACH. The little peninsula I live on is covered in all kinds of gorgeous terrain from sandy and desolate beaches, to a rocky and chaotic jetty strip at the inlet, to lush canopies in sea grape forests, and I love every inch of it. Sometimes the water is calm and sometimes the wind is OUT OF CONTROL, but rain or shine, it is absolutely breathtaking.
I love fisherman and surfer photobombs.
I love birds.
I love lighthouses.
And I love families.
When this gorgeous mama first contacted me, she told me her husband was leaving for a tour of duty and she needed to have family photos to hold on to while he was gone. Her little one needed pictures of his daddy. MY HEART NEEDED PICTURES OF THIS DADDY.
I cried all through this session. They were just the sweetest, most loving family, and the thought of how much they are missing him just rips me in two.
